We are a Southern Baptist Church. We cooperate with and support the work of the Southern Baptist Convention, the Kentucky Baptist Convention, and the Long Run Baptist Association. We actively participate in the Southern Baptist Conference of the Deaf and the Kentucky Baptist Conference of the Deaf.
We are one of over 42,000 Southern Baptist Churches. We are one of over 500 SBC deaf ministries. We give more than 9 percent of annual budget through the Southern Baptist Cooperative Program to support more than 5,200 missionaries in North America, over 5,000 foreign missionaries in 153 countries, colleges/seminaries, and many other ministries. We have sent church members on mission trips to Brazil, Colombia, Czech Republic, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Puerto Rico, Russia, Ukraine, Hungary, and other countries. We strive to obey the Great Commission in Matthew 28:18-20.
Then Jesus came near and said to them, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe everything I have commanded you. And remember, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”
The mission of the Kentucky Baptist Conference of the Deaf is to encourage Kentucky Baptist deaf church members, leaders, pastors, interpreters, ministries, missions, and churches to obey and fulfill the Great Commission (Matthew 28:19-20) through purpose driven worship, fellowship, discipleship, ministry, evangelism, and missions.
Servants who are Bible-believing, Christ-centered, doing God’s mission to reach Deaf persons for Jesus Christ by serving as a cooperative network for Southern Baptist churches and agencies to fulfill the Great Commission by providing training, advocacy, worship, fellowship, missions awareness and mission involvement.
The mission of this association of churches is to proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ to the lost world and to impact significantly the lostness in the Louisville Metro area for the glory of God.
The Kentucky Baptist Convention is a cooperative missions and ministry organization made up of nearly 2,400 autonomous Baptist churches in Kentucky. Working through 71 local associations and in cooperation with the Southern Baptist Convention, Kentucky Baptists share a common bond of basic Biblical beliefs and a commitment to proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the entire world.
The SBC consists of more than 42,000 churches in the United States. Southern Baptists sponsor about 10,000 missionaries through the North American Mission Board (NAMB) and the International Mission Board (IMB). Every SBC church is completely independent. There is no denominational control or hierarchy, as there are in most denominations. Each church is self-governed and determines its own affairs.
